Agriculture, Environment And Climate Change

MRF organization involves in Agriculture, Environmental protection, conservation and natural resource management. MRF through this department works to promote the local capacity of efficient management of natural resources and environment protection to achieve sustainable development by This program helps to empower youth and women become as local Climate Change Agent and supporting local farmers to improve productivity and incomes and to strengthen their capacity to better adapt to climate change through promotion of improved technologies and sustainable land management practices.

MRF’s work to protect the environment and climate change movement activities directly contribute the efforts to achieve a green and peaceful world by contributing Climate action and efforts which are enhancing adaptation to climate risks, improving agricultural productivity and providing effective response in the event of a crisis or emergency.

MRF partnered with Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Climate change, Puntland of Somalia in implementation of this project activities; MRF through this program distributed a total 74 trees to plant. To date, 36 women in Garowe district have participated trainings on climate change and environmental protection and over 2,000 trees also planned to distribute for planting.

MRF’s Goal: To promote the local capacity of efficient management of natural resources and environment protection to achieve sustainable development.
